NKBA Kitchen & Bath Design Trends added to Cabinets & Closets Conference


Jennifer Beavers, Vice President of the Southern California Chapter of NKBA, and Lauren Mills, Sea Pointe Contruction, will deliver a session on Kitchen & Bath Design Trends during the 2016 Cabinets and Closets Conference, March 22 at the Pasadena Convention Center.

At KBIS, some of the nation's top kitchen and bath designers shared their insight on the latest color and style trends, revealed in the 2016 Design Trends Survey by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. Based on survey results of more than 450 designers, NKBA's has become a key source for consumer preferences and designer direction in kitchen cabinet style trends.

Lauren Mills is Client Relations Manager at Sea Pointe Construction. With a third-generation construction legacy, Mills oversees client services, public relations and marketing for Sea Pointe Construction, a design/build firm in Irvine, California. Mills is responsible for Sea Pointe’s client relation efforts ensuring the highest level of customer service and serving as a valuable feedback loop to the company’s executive committee. As one of five executive committee members, she provides critical insight to help shape the company’s overall strategic direction. She is also single-handedly responsible for digital, print, direct mail and event marketing efforts including bimonthly design workshops for large audiences of prospective clients in the greater Orange County Area. Prior to joining Sea Pointe, Mills build a diverse PR and marketing skillset at one of the most prestigious entertainment PR firms in the world. Mills graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Strategic Media from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.

Jennifer Beavers is a Kitchen and Bath Designer for Norm Tessier Cabinets, Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She has been cultivated for her role from her early age, joining the family business in 2009. Jennifer has designed over 800 residential Kitchen and Bath projects in her tenure, throughout Southern California. She integrates her work with builders and architect’s to create one-of-a-kind spaces.

Most recently, she was honored with the May 2015 Designer of Distinction by Viking Range. She was honored at KBIS 2016 as part of the prestigious 30 Under 30 group by The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and presented her findings on color trends within the Kitchen and Bath Industry.

“From the time I was young, following my dad around to his appointments, watching him sketch kitchens and build custom cabinetry, I was enamored with the process. I’ve been able to see the industry from every facet, but have been drawn to the design field. I love being able to tear down walls and make an impactful change.”

Jennifer graduated from California Polytechnic University of Pomona in Pomona, CA with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship. She is the current VP of Communications with the NKBA Southern California Chapter.

Beavers is among the leading lights of the next generation of kitchen designers. She was included in NKBA's 30 Under 30 recognition program. A designer at Norm Tessier Cabinets, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Beavers represents the third generation at the company, founded by her grandfather, Norm Tessier. Cabinetry is manufactured on the premises, with the latest technology for design, drafting, and machining.
